Having worked with hydrogen, fuel cells and hydrogen fuel cell heavy duty vehicles, particularly buses, for the last 17 years, David is an expert and recognised leader in the operation and maintenance side of zero emission heavy duty vehicle operations. Since the start of 2024, David embarked on a new chapter as an independent consultant to assist and further develop the maintenance and operation of zero emission heavy duty vehicles.

From ground-breaking hydrogen fuel cell buses at their earliest stages, guiding them through safety, maintenance and operational challenges through to their eventual retirement, David possesses invaluable practical expertise and deep insight into the world of hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty vehicles.

Before dedicating his career to zero emission vehicles, David worked in the manufacturing industry on new product introduction, aftersales support and quality.

David is a European and Chartered Engineer (EUR ING and CEng), qualified to master’s degree level in both Hydrogen Safety Engineering and Electronics.
