Hi Cristina! Please could you share a bit of background on your career and current role at Lendlease?
BIM Manager, ARB Architect and Data Analyst, always striving to find the best way to achieve the right goals. I am part of the Digital Engineering team, where I manage the digital side of construction for London Residential projects, while also leading company-wide digital initiatives. My data analyst training allows me to extend the reach of these endeavours through a data-driven approach, but always aware of the key role that people play in generating change.
Why is your discussion on ‘How to prepare for the building data journey: From construction insights to COBie asset data management’ an important one to have?
Decent building data is becoming more of a requirement than a nice-to-have, as developers and building operators realise it is a gamechanger throughout the building lifecycle. We will talk about the journey and hurdles along the way: both from a practical standpoint, because we go through this journey ourselves and therefore know there is no wonder solution without clear rules; and from a forward look to the landscape of data science and how it can apply to the built environment.
What can the audience expect to take away from your session?
The reality of building data, what to expect and prepare for – challenges, risks, and opportunities.
What are you most looking forward to at the show?
Just being there – there’s something amazing about having people from the whole industry in one place, meeting with our peers to resolve our shared digital challenges together and keeping up with the latest innovations. And though it’s still a long way until robots replace us, it’s nice to see them roaming around!
