The Nordic Organic Food Fair, co-located with the Natural Beauty & Health Show, is set to witness a surge in demand for EU Organic certified products, as new data (conducted by the event organisers visitor data) reveals that over half of the trade visitors expected to attend are specifically seeking out this certification.
In addition to EU Organic, other certifications such as Fairtrade, EcoCert, EU Eco Label, AllergyCertified, and Cruelty Free were also rated as high priorities by retailers attending the fair. According to the latest *statistics, the top certifications visitors are looking for include:
- EU Organic: 52%
- Fair trade: 33%
- EcoCert: 31%
- Organic agriculture Europe: 23%
- EU Eco label/Swan Label: 22%
- Cruelty Free: 21%
- AllergyCertified: 21%
The demand for product certifications reflects the growing consumer awareness and preference for products that are not only organic but also sustainable, ethical, and cruelty-free. Retailers recognise the importance of meeting these consumer preferences and are actively seeking out products that carry the desired certifications.
For the beauty industry, EcoCert was ranked first (31%) in importance, Cruelty Free and AllergyCertified second (21%), followed by Natrue (16%) and followed by Leaping Bunny (4%).
As for exhibitors booked (into the show), 83% of exhibitors (who shared their certifications in their online profiles) have stated they are EU Organic certified, followed by USDA (21%), EcoCert (19%), BioSuisse (15%), Vegan Society (11%), Soil Association (11%) and Cruelty Free (10%).
With a diverse range of certifications and products on display, the 2024 edition of Nordic Organic Food Fair and Natural Beauty & Health Show will provide the perfect platform for retailers and buying professionals to discover and source products that align with their sustainable values and meet the evolving demands of their customers.
