The Danish Minister Rasmus Prehn is attending a special opening ceremony at the Nordic Organic Food Fair (co-located with Natural Beauty & Health Show ) to celebrate the anticipated return of the resilient organic and sustainable sector on the 17-18 of November 2021 at MalmöMässan.
The Danish Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries will also speak in an exclusive panel discussion arranged by Organic Denmark and Food Nation titled ‘Organic as a part of our sustainable future – Increasing the organic market share to reach the EU target in 2030’, which takes place in the Organic Theatre at 11.30 on day 1 of the event (17 November).
On the exciting panel, Rasmus Prehn will be joined by Aksel Rømer (CEO, Rømer Vegan), Aviaja Riemann-Andersen (founder and CEO, Agrain), Per Løberg Eriksen (Head of Sustainability, Coop Norge SA), Thomas Roland (CSR Manager, Coop Denmark), and Sustainability Manager of Lidl Sweden. Moderating and asking important questions in this panel discussion is Paul Holmbeck (Holmbeck EcoConsult & IFOAM Board Member).
Rasmus Prehn has since his appointment to the cabinet role in 2020 played a key role in recent political agreements to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agriculture sector and supported organic principles. For the first time at the event, senior professionals from leading supermarkets, retailers, wholesalers, health stores and restaurants, plus importers and exporters working within the organic sector are invited to hear how the Danish government aims to further assist the organic sector and why it is a vital part of Denmark’s sustainability goals.
The Minister will also be there with more than 450 exhibitors who will be showcasing the very best choice of organic food, drink and sustainable products from around the world. Many of these brands have been a key component to the rise in footfall of organic products in Scandinavia, whilst others are hoping to be part of this vital movement.
Event Manager, Melina Viking commented: “We are extremely excited and honored to have the Danish Minister Rasmus Prehn open the 2021 edition of the Nordic Organic Food Fair and Natural Beauty & Health Show . We’ve been through some unprecedented times, and so we hope Rasmus, plus many other leading experts at the show, will help to inspire and inform a newfound business confidence to everyone within the organic and sustainability sector. Because now is a critical time to come together, make change and continue to work towards a more sustainable future!”
