camexpo show organiser Diversified Communications UK has now opened its call for entries for the 2012 camexpo CAM Clinic of the Year and camexpo Outstanding Achievement Awards.
Two of the complementary and natural health care industry’s most prestigious annual awards, they seek to recognise and reward the significant contributions made by both inspirational practitioners working alone and complementary health care clinics working together to the benefit of CAM industry as a whole.
camexpo Outstanding Achievement Award 2012
Now entering its fourth year, the camexpo Outstanding Achievement Award will be given to an individual – who above all others – has made a truly exceptional contribution to the UK’s CAM community. Of course, since this award is determined solely by nominations, there are always exceptions to the ‘individual’ rule, as proved by last year’s winners, with an overwhelming majority of votes, Meghan Mari and Rachel Fairweather, directors and co-founders of the Jing Institute of Advanced Massage Training, who jointly accepted the award at camexpo 2011 to the sound of a standing ovation.
“We are thrilled and honoured to be the recipients of the CAM outstanding achievement award 2011,” commented Mari and Fairweather. “We are humbled by the incredible outpouring of support of the CAM community. We feel this award belongs not only to ourselves but also to our amazing teachers, staff and inspiring students who have been with us every step of this wonderful journey. This award is an important recognition of our collective triumph. Together, we have raised the standard of professionalism of the UK massage industry. The success of Jing is a testament to the power of positivity, passion, enthusiasm and co-operation in achieving any goal you set your mind to.”
The message from camexpo event organiser Zoe Campbell for the 2012 awards is simple. Since there is no shortlist for Outstanding Achievement Award and literally anyone within the CAM community could win it, it’s important to “make sure your vote counts”.
“Every practitioner and therapist working in the industry today knows someone – either personally or professionally – who inspires and motivates them. The CAM Outstanding Achievement Award is a perfect way to shine a spotlight on these exceptional individuals and make sure they get the official recognition they deserve for the commitment and dedication they show to industry every day. I urge all camexpo supporters, exhibitors and visitors to take a few minutes to fill in the nomination form online today and make sure your vote counts,” says Campbell.

camexpo CAM Clinic of the Year 2012
Launched in 2010, the camexpo CAM Clinic of the Year Award is the ultimate accolade for any complementary health clinic within the UK. Created to celebrate forward-thinking CAM clinics that place their client’s wellbeing at the very top of their priorities, the award offers a rare opportunity to promote the work of talented individuals and teams in CAM clinics right across the country. An expert panel of industry professionals will assess participating clinics on their treatments offered, marketing, client testimonials, unique selling points and all round client experience, before bestowing a £500 prize (donated by sponsors Viridian, in association with The Nutri Centre) on their selected winner.
Last year’s recipient of the camexpo CAM Clinic of the Year Award was Revitalise in Hove, East Sussex, founded by Clare and Richard Brown, which beat over 35 other UK entries to the title after impressing judges with its distinctive approach and “fantastic client testimonials”.
“We are absolutely delighted to have received the camexpo CAM Clinic of the Year Award 2011,” says Richard Brown. “We have a superb team of receptionists, and expert therapists and teachers working at Revitalise, and this award is a testimony to them too. In the past few years we have invested in our website and promotional material, launched our new health shop to compliment the range of therapies offered, and expanded the range of services we offer – this award recognises those achievements and that makes it all worthwhile.”
