Accountex 2018 opens at London ExCeL this week

Thousands of accountants and finance professionals from across the UK will be heading to London this week, over 23-24 May – as Accountex returns to ExCeL to showcase the best new products, solutions, insights, and innovations of the year.

20 theatres, 280 CPD-accredited Keynotes, seminars and workshops and 228 exhibitors – that’s the compelling line-up that awaits when doors open at 10am tomorrow (Wednesday 23 May).

“Accountex is the only UK event that annually attracts so many of the profession’s leading innovators and key thinkers together in one place at one time,” explains Zoe Lacey-Cooper, event director of Accountex.

“From our speakers and exhibitors to the visitors themselves – the who’s who of the accountancy world will be at the show doing business.   Over two days our visitors will be able to take away real-time solutions and ideas, which will help them to continue to provide the best all-round accountancy service possible.   That’s why so many recommend it and call it their favourite show of the year,” she says.

As the UK’s biggest accountancy and finance event of the year, the show may need little introduction to the industry it serves.  Over 7,000 attendees are expected, including accountants, finance directors, MDs, accounts managers, tax professionals, bookkeepers, sole practitioners and smaller accountancy firms.  Plus senior decision makers from big name practices like PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Grant Thornton, BDO, RSM, Smith & Williamson, Moore Stephens, Mazars, PKF, Saffery Champness, Haines Watts, Crowe Clark Whitehill, UHY Hacker Young, MHA Macintyre Hudson, Kingston Smith, Menzies, TaxAssist Accountants, Buzzacott, Kreston Reeves, HW Fisher & Company, haysmacintyre and more.

228 leading exhibitors

Among the new exhibitors for 2018 are Omono, First Impressions Training, Smart Audit, Spendesk, More, and techtick in the Start-Up Zone.  They join returning big names like HM Revenue and Customs, Sage, Inuit QuickBooks, Xero, FreeAgent, TaxCalc, Wolters Kluwer, IRIS Software Group, Compleat Software, FreeAgent, FUTRLI, MyFirmsApp, ICAEW, ICPA, Institute of Financial Accountants, ACCA, and more.

“Accountex is a great opportunity to communicate with customers, share best practice, gain feedback and interact with peers.  It’s great for the sector as it enables accountants to get a real view of the marketplace and also to understand the new entrants – it’s a real 360-degree approach to knowledge and insight sharing,” says Adrian Sproston, director — accountant division at Sage.
