The Nordic Organic Food Fair will showcase an array of organic food and drink from Attica, a region of Greece on 16-17 November at MalmöMässan, Sweden.  The two-day trade fair is renowned for attracting thousands of leading buyers, retailers, supermarkets, and foodservice professionals across Scandinavia, and so Attica’s presence will help to facilitate important business deals with the region.

Attica will sponsor a VIP Drinks reception at the event, which will be attended by a range of VIPS, hosted buyers and exhibitors. The region will also sponsor an important seminar session titled ‘Attica: From our ancient land to the Nordics,’ in the show’s Organic Talks Theatre.

Event Director, Melina Viking says: “Organic food production in Attica is on the rise, from olive oils to peanuts, fruits to honey, Attica is a region displaying rare natural beauty and a wonderful climate for high quality produce. Greece has always had a strong commitment and collaboration with the show, and so we’re excited to see what the Attica pavilion has to offer. As well as exploring these products on the show floor, we encourage our visitors to attend the dedicated seminar session all about the main product produced in Attica – honey!”

From our ancient land to the Nordics

Swedes alone consume around 7,000 tons of honey every day, half of which is from Sweden. In an important seminar session (taking place on 16 November, 11.30pm) Nikolas Bartzis, Founder of Urban Beekeeping in Greece, will discuss statistics of the apiculture production of the Attica region in Greece.  During this session visitors will also get to taste the very best of organic honey from the exciting region of Attica.
