Key policy makers, industry leaders and organic pioneers will come together at the Nordic Organic Food Fair on 16-17 November at MalmöMässan for the most important meeting place for the organic industry.
Over the two days The Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark, and key associations including Organic Denmark, IFOAM, Ecovia Intelligence, Organic Sweden, Try Swedish, and Food Nation will share exclusive insights and opportunities around organic farming, and present new research on the organic food market (details of the schedule, coming soon).
Organic is big business and a critical talking point for the environment as well as the economy in the Nordic region. Research shows that organic continues to have strong growth where agricultural land area used by organic farms in Denmark increased continuously and peaked at approximately 313,000 hectares in 2021. Also, annual sales of organic food in Danish retail stores amounted to around 16 billion Danish kroner. And in 2020, Swedish supermarket chain ICA sold organic food and beverages with a value of eight billion Swedish krono (according to Statista).
The future of organic
As well as sharing insights and inspiration, the Nordic Organic Food Fair will bring together serious buyers with thousands of manufacturers, producers, and suppliers of certified organic food and drink products.
Annually attracting senior professionals from Dansk Supermarked, Holland & Barrett, Life Europe, Lidl, ICA Sverige AB, and more, visitors can discover certified organic products from established brands as well as start-ups in the show’s new Swedish Marketplace area (Saluhallen_. This area is exclusively for Swedish SMEs and smaller scale producers looking to expand into the Swedish market, providing a perfect way to discover new and upcoming brands.
As well as meeting local suppliers, buyers can also discover hundreds of international organic brands from Poland, Greece, Spain, Austria, Korea, Bolivia, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Peru, Belgium and Portugal.
New exhibitors to join the line-up include Yuma Foods, Cocomate, Bagers, Chocolate Tree Ltd, Alterbio, Green Planet Astronauts, Kaja Organic, Mad Lab, Chamart, Concept Fresh.
